I plan to go to college and eventually start a family.

If you could give one piece of advice to younger students, what would it be?
I would tell them to not take time for granted.

When you grow up, what do you hope to be?
I hope to be a college football physical trainer.

If you could thank anyone in your life, who would you thank and why?
I would thank my parents for everything they have done for me, but especially for teaching and showing me how to be good, Christ-centered role models.

Where did you go to school?: I went to high school in Carlsbad. I got my bachelor's degree in Las Cruces at NMSU and my master's in Portales at ENMU.
What do you do at AHS?: I get to sing and teach choir every day! I'm also the fine arts coordinator.
How many years have you been at AHS?: This is my first year as the head choir director for AHS, but I was previously the assistant for nine years!

What is your favorite thing about Artesia High School?
I love the students! The culture that they strive to have here as a safe, loving and supportive environment inspires me every day.

What is one thing that you would like all of the students at Artesia High School to know/learn?
I would like all of the students to know or learn that mistakes are blessings and opportunities to be better. They are not the end of the world and will only make you better if you let them.
