It was a great week for Artesia students at the 2024 Eastern New Mexico State Fair!

DAIRY HEIFERS

The livestock action kicked off Monday in Roswell with the Dairy Heifer Show, where Kyle Bean came away with Grand Champion honors and Jase Starnes finished third overall. Class results included:

WATERFOWL

Makayla Monk picked up not only a Champion Waterfowl award but Best of Barn as well for her Grey Call Duck pullet.

It was a good day at the Market Steer Show for Caden Golden, who came away with both the third-overall steer award for his Class 4 first-place Exotic and the Reserve Grand Champion Land of Enchantment Bred steer. Allie Elkins also picked up second place in Class 2 with her Exotic.
